ABSTRACT
Since the coordinated suicide attacks on the United States (on 11 September 2001) and London (on 7 July 2005), the focus of Western law enforcement and intelligence agencies has been to neutralise the terrorist threat posed by Al-Qaeda and its (now dead) leader Osama bin Laden.
