ABSTRACT
What is the prognosis for increased and successful cyber-attacks against small countries/states and what are appropriate defences or countermeasures as well as any possible deterrents? In simple terms, there is no doubt that both threats and the incidence of successful cyber-attacks is rapidly increasing with the simple evidence that the add-in cyber security industry is now seen as a major investment opportunity with finance for start-ups in the area at an all-time record high level at least in the USA.
