Practices, fluid encounters and durable engagements build the infrastructure in which actors develop resources. Durable engagements, or the ‘knitting’ of social infrastructure, require settings that provide a regular focus for contact. Such durable engagements within institutions are informed by moral orientations of what to expect from others.
