ABSTRACT
In this essay, I acknowledge, regretfully, that it was in Africa that the slave industry was at its worst; where millions of Black people lost their lives packed like sardines in ships, whilst en route to the West to be sold as ‘beasts of burden’. This tragic phenomenon was followed by yet another one, which was equally brutal, savage and dehumanizing; namely, that of Imperialism and Colonialism.
