ABSTRACT
All these studies focusing on actors, networks and institutions and their interrelations
show that (with the notable exception of cluster decline) a change in quantitative develop-
ment of the cluster is connected to a qualitative change, marked by changes in firm capa-
bilities, network structures and the institutional environment. They point, in particular, to
the disruptions taking place at different levels during cluster transformation.
