Although the right to establish and join a labor union is a basic human right (UDHR Art. 23), this battle continues to be fought in countries all over the world. In the United States, where the following two documentaries by Barbara Kopple were filmed, union membership in the private sector has now been reduced to less than 10 percent of the working population.
