Significance of fibre orientation on passive response of pelvic muscles to evaluate pelvic dysfunction

Hill’s muscle model is one of the first mathematical models to describe the behavior of the skeletal muscle. Muscle mechanics is described by a three element based representation which is constituted by a contractile element and two elastic spring elements one in series and another in parallel [4]. Several modifications of the model can be found till date.
