ABSTRACT

This chapter talks about intensive weekend workshop which is about reviewing our failures, errors, so-called wrongs while reassessing them in the group to finally transform them into growth and learning experiences. Kintsugi is the art of repairing broken pottery with gold or silver dusted lacker. People are more valuable with their shortcomings, errors and failures, because they have learned from their experiences and grew out of them. Along with verbal communication, art therapy and movement enhanced the work. The group worked during three days for a total of 16 hours: four sessions of group-as-a-whole and four sessions of small home groups. First Day: Trials and Errors, Second Day: Catharsis, Third day: Reparation and Final Session, Whole group. The concept of failure or wrong is mainly cognitive and only verbal communication could evolve rather in the cognitive. Art material enhances the expression of emotions, accessing more rapidly to the unconscious.
