ABSTRACT
Here’s our starting point: Let’s assume as you reach this point in the book that we all know the myriad reasons why family engagement and communication are important and agree that they matter. You are reading and I am writing this chapter because we are looking for better, more efficient, and practical ways to facilitate home/school exchange of information and authentic relationships with the families of the children we educate. This nexus is where technology can either help or be a hindrance. This chapter will help you sort out the tools and the strategies to make the most of the benefits of being an educator in a rapidly evolving digital era.
