ABSTRACT

This chapter supports in maintaining a successful relationship with the data system/report providers (DSRPs), team. Many educators have a distrust of edtech vendors such as DSRPs, sometimes assuming these companies care more about profit than students or educators. Most educator leaders are using a data system that is provided by a third party. DSRPs typically plan enhancements to their products based on what educators, being the clients and users, request. There is often an assumption by DSRPs that most of clients' needs are contained within clients' requests. Thus many DSRPs do not follow the latest over-the-counter data (OTCD) research. Sometimes it is an advantage if district administrators also contact the DSRP advocating for the same change. Rather than sending DSRP a string of emails, consolidate their needs into a single email to initiate changes to their data system/reports.
