ABSTRACT
This chapter focuses on communication. It covers how to communicate with clients, other professionals, organisations, and the wider community. For the National Psychology Examination (NPE), you need to know the types and appropriate methods of professional communication, both oral and written (Psychology Board of Australia, 2012). The NPE will test your ability to demonstrate understanding of the importance of clarity, accuracy, coherence, organisation, and succinctness in communication.
