ABSTRACT
As this compilation has shown, the breadth of themes and perspectives related to gender and forestry research and action is expansive. The works presented here contribute to filling important gaps in knowledge concerning the barriers that cause gender inequalities in access to tree resources, decision making and sharing of forest benefits. Yet, it provides but a taste of this dynamic and growing field, as thinking around the nexus between gender and forests continues to evolve.
