ABSTRACT
Emilia, age 4, spent much of her preschool work time planning, sketching, and constructing complicated structures. One day her teacher (Christie) said enthusiastically, “Emilia, I bet you’ll be a builder when you grow up!” Emilia replied, “I can’t be a builder. I’m a girl.”
