ABSTRACT
With the growth since the early 1990s in the number and variety of offshore units-particularly FSUs (floating storage units) and FPSOs (floating production, storage and offloading units) which can readily shift from one location to another and provide an economic alternative to fixed platforms-questions have increasingly arisen as to the legal position in the event of oil pollution from offshore craft of this kind.
