ABSTRACT

My current life as a feminist therapist is like the fourth movement of a symphony. The earlier movements: first my experiences in my Jewish family; second, my work in the civil rights movement as a social activist and my life as an “earth mother”; and third, my doctoral program undertaken in my forties, weave together to create my life now as a professional woman in the world. Now is the time when the themes of the early movements of my life are becoming fully developed and brought to fruition.
