ABSTRACT
Intelligibility, in configurational terms, is the complexity index of a spatial system. We can say that intelligibility is a spatial property of a building that affects a patient’s ability to understand the spatial structure of the building and recognize with certainty their position in the environment, whereas the presence of good signage answers the request for information on the exact location of a specific function.
