ABSTRACT
Assessment is a crucial part of teaching. Regular assessment not only provides data about student progress in achieving learning goals, but it also provides you the teacher with crucial information about your own instruction, and about changes you need to make in focus, approach, pacing, and differentiation. Good teachers do not only rely on testing and formal assessment; they are at every moment observing and evaluating student progress, and constantly modifying instruction to support inclusion and success.
