ABSTRACT
Community building is imperative to develop the trust needed for successful implementation of feminist pedagogy. Because of increased dialogue within the feminist classroom, students must feel comfortable taking risks when working through concepts. Community building helps students feel more at ease discussing sensitive or provocative material. While this type of discussion can still remain uncomfortable for teachers and students, it is an important process that allows for deep and honest understanding.
