ABSTRACT

Elaine and Roz, two homemakers and friends, are connected to their Facebook, discussing a new refrigerator model that Elaine saw on Best Buy. They particularly like the idea of the three-door configuration and a number of other features. Two days later, they were joined in the Facebook conversation by twenty people who either had purchased the refrigerator or who heard comments about it. One person in particular was a good friend whose opinion was highly regarded. As a result of the discussion, Elaine decided that she should take another look at the refrigerator, pretty much convinced to make the purchase either on the Internet or in a retail store.
