ABSTRACT
The stakeholder approach points at the wider purpose of the organization in the eyes of the various people who have some kind of stake in it. It also recognizes the organization as a political arena, where con icts of interests need to be resolved. This is also the place where corporate social responsibility comes to the fore. Overall, the focus is on people, either individuals or collectives, and whether their interests are met.
