ABSTRACT

This final chapter focuses upon public policy for knowledge intensive entrepreneurship and advances previous analyses on policies regarding knowledge intensive entrepreneurship (Malerba, 2010). We are arguing for a more complex view of the role of public policy which should go well beyond the current focus on stimulating the entry of new small firms. This chapter is based on the analyses in the chapters in this book, as well as on the work done in the EU project AEGIS about public policy.
