ABSTRACT

Working together since 1991, Blast Theory is an internationally renowned artist group. Their work makes use of interactive media to create new, groundbreaking forms of performance and interactive art that mixes audiences and realities (virtual as well as augmented) across the Internet, with live performance, and digital broadcasting. The group, comprising artists Matt Adams, Ju Row Farr, and Nick Tandavanitj, has been honored with several prestigious awards including winning the Prix Ars Electronica for Interactive Art in 2003 and Winner in the Best Real World Game category at the International Mobile Gaming Awards in Barcelona (2010).
