ABSTRACT
A. Analyze and compare the curriculum with recommendations from the following: NAESP’s Leading Learning Communities (elementary level), NASSP’s Breaking Ranks in the Middle (middle level), NASSP’s Breaking Ranks: The Comprehensive Framework for School Improvement (secondary). Cite areas that align with and need change to meet the recommendations from the appropriate book. Summarize findings and recommended actions, and include in your notebook or e-portfolio. (Consider this for a project that would include other relevant knowledge and skill areas.)
B. Review board policy and administrative regulations regarding curriculum development, implementation, management, and evaluation. Evaluate compliance with relevant federal (ESEA) and state laws and regulations and with local board policy. Write a reflective statement outlining ways to improve supervision and management of curriculum matters, and include in your notebook or e-portfolio.
