ABSTRACT

Entrepreneurial learning is an arena in which multiple perspectives are created and offered. This has been the case from the outset: there has never been a single theoretical model or framework, though there have been attempts to create one. The structure of the book reflects three themes, they are - human-centred naturalistic, lifelong and career learning, entrepreneurial learning in education: concepts and paradigms, entrepreneurial learning in organisations, including international perspectives. The first centres on the entrepreneurial person, situated in their biography and whole-life experience. The second is situated in an educational context of organised, institutional and expected learning. The third is again organisational, rather than being detached from business, centres on learning within organisations as entrepreneurial environments. These three themes include perspectives on conceptualising and theory building, formalised learning in institutional settings and informal learning-in-practice, which are manifested in comparable ways in different cultural and national contexts.
