Seeking African solutions: the new social and cultural geographies of South Africa

This year marks the tenth anniversary of democracy in South Africa. It promises to be a year of great celebration, but also of sombre reflection on where we have come in the last decade. It is therefore apt that a country report be written at this point, since the development of social and cultural geographies in South Africa have paralleled wider processes of transformation within the country.
