ABSTRACT

Not everyone who goes into group therapy has a positive experience. For some clients, it works against their emotional growth. There are many extraneous factors that elicit this negative experience. If the reader can imagine a triangle with 3 points, there are predominantly 3 components that foster a client’s negative experience. They are 1. In the person of the group therapist, 2. In the composition of the group and 3. The person of the client.
