ABSTRACT

This chapter explains the arrival of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and describes its implications for education today and beyond. It presents a collection of snapshots in an attempt to better understand the vast experiences coming to life in our schools. The chapter explores one's role as educators to address the problem. The education challenges during the Fourth Industrial Revolution must have a holistic view from the leadership, collaboration at government level, to the design of our educational system. The chapter discusses the importance of teachers and how people need to empower them, technologically and pedagogically. Teachers understand the context of their communities and can take an active role to address many of these problems. The chapter points our finger to the need of flipping the system, allowing educators to lead the way for better public policies.
