ABSTRACT

This chapter identifies the clinical use and issues involved in the assessment of parent–child relations. It describes the Systemic Assessment of the Family Environment, GARF Self-Report for Families, SAFE Cartoons, Family Genogram, Kinetic Family Drawing, the Parental Stress and Coping Inventory, Child Adjustment and Parent Efficacy Scale, Behavior Assessment System for Children, Parenting Relationship Questionnaire, and Family Aggression Screening Tool. Case material illustrates the use of these assessments.
