ABSTRACT

It is inevitable to evaluate the performance of the heads of public institutions, to check whether they have been simultaneously pursuing publicness and efficiency and are funded by taxes. The evaluation system for the heads of public institutions in Korea has been continuously evolved over years. This study intends to take a closer look at the evaluation system and its criteria in order to improve and enhance the system.
