ABSTRACT

The inflorescence of Fragaria × ananassa Duch. terminates every crown (“crown” = a short branch). The inflorescence is of a racemic type and has a dichotomic branching. A typical inflorescence has primary, secondary, tertiary, and quarternary flowers. 1 5 Different varieties have different types (Figure 1) of inflorescences and branching, and variation may occur even within a cultivar.
