The Current Status of the Level 1 PSA for Sizewell‘B’ PWR

This paper describes the current status of the Level 1 Probabilistic Safety Assessment that is being performed for the Sizewell B FWR. The structure of the analysis and its interfaces with other aspects of the safety case for the power station are outlined. A brief summary is provided of the analysis methods that are used and the methods development that have been necessary. The paper summarises the current stage of development of the PSA, which is scheduled for completion by early 1992.
