Aristotle’s notions of genre, plot, character, thought, scenes, diction, spectacle, and catharsis, become the structuring logic of this essay. Identified as a tragedy and an ethnodrama, it proceeds ethnographically to reveal the relationship between a father and son, often identifying points of tension, disappointment, and vulnerability.
