ABSTRACT

Aristotle’s notions of genre, plot, character, thought, scenes, diction, spectacle, and catharsis, become the structuring logic of this essay. Identified as a tragedy and an ethnodrama, it proceeds ethnographically to reveal the relationship between a father and son, often identifying points of tension, disappointment, and vulnerability. It ends without resolution, with no catharsis. Through implication, the piece invites readers to reflect upon the scripts they write with others..
