ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses several artificial intelligence (AI) approaches to fault big data analysis for open source software (OSS) projects. It evaluates the conventional neural network (NN) approach with the proposed deep learning approach (DL). The chapter also evaluates the various numerical examples based on the fault big data in practical OSS projects by using the proposed methods of AI. It focuses on the fault identification method that determines the severity level of the fault. The chapter discusses the OSS fault identification method based on DL. It analyzes the analysis method based on the DL with that based on NN by back propagation learning. The chapter also focuses on the operating situation by using OpenStack, Hadoop, and other software components. It discusses the practical data sets registered on the bug tracking system (BTS) of the Apache HTTP Server Project. The BTSs are especially used and managed in various OSS projects.
