ABSTRACT
This concluding chapter details how the framework of RESFIA+D, which was presented in previous chapters through case studies of exceptional sustainable professionals, can be applied in companies, organizations, and educational institutions. Developed as an assessment tool for various professional contexts, RESFIA+D can be used by individual professionals to create personal development plans; by organizations to inform human resource development; by universities and colleges to enhance curriculum development; and by all other interested people to improve their personal or professional sustainability competences. The authors offer step-by-step guidance on how to best use this assessment tool, including examples from a recently developed set of disciplinary sustainability competences for educators. The explanations are supported by images depicting actual assessment results. The chapter ends with a self-test based on the RESFIA+D framework and a Pledge, which readers can make in order to affirm their intention of becoming a sustainably competent professional.
