ABSTRACT

Semantic Textual Similarity (STS) is basically a measure used to compute the similarity between two textual snippets based on the likeliness of their meaning. Measuring semantic similarity is a dicult assignment since it is simple express a comparable idea in di erent ways. Therefore, STS is a deep natural language understanding problem. STS has been generally utilized as a part of natural language processing tasks such as machine translation (MT), summarization, generation, question answering (QA), short answer grading, semantic search, dialog and conversational frameworks and so on.
