ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Floods have been a frequent occurrence in cities, be they planned or unplanned. This can be attributed to the increase in constructed spaces, which causes a decrease in the permeable land. For a long time, governments implemented gray solutions, such as drains and levees, to mitigate flood risk. However, with the adverse impacts of floods growing, a need has arisen for a more integrated approach to urban flood risk management. Green Infrastructure (GI) solutions have emerged as a key component of this integrated approach.
