ABSTRACT

Communipreneurship and integral banking concepts are both grounded in the co-creation of sustainable livelihoods, in order to enrich prosperity in terms of jobs creation and wealth distribution in any given community. This chapter connects the enriching of faith with and through enriching prosperity within the community. Integral banking, based on Islamic banking principles, can, then, be seen as a financial model that seeks to solve some of the economic challenges. Integral banking and communipreneurship crystalises knowledge gained from social ontology to betterment of life for the populace. The vehicle to achieve this integral financial system lies with the human self. The people and community see the communipreneurs as an integral part of socio-economic development, for the community, purposefully in the areas of jobs creation, as well as wealth distribution, and as such, the people and community are committed to a continued relationship with the communipreneurs.
