ABSTRACT

Chapter one, The English Orientation sets the tone, structure, and content of this book. So, this chapter presented you with the importance of a “way of thinking,” or a “way in” or an ecology (landscape, habitat, or place a being resides) that a teacher can have to the approach of teaching English. Rather than just giving you lessons, techniques, and approaches to teaching writing, reading, and speaking, this chapter gives you an orientation to the teaching of English Language Arts (ELA).
