ABSTRACT

The purpose of the present research is to study the creation procedure of an augmented reality comic by students, related to the Greek exclamations. Eighteen fourth-grade students recreated a comic of their textbook using two different platforms of augmented reality creation. Data were collected with the use of a questionnaire and through observation. The results showed that students’ knowledge of exclamations, after the creation of the augmented reality comic, was significantly increased, statistically. Moreover, the use of augmented reality increased motivation to learn, as well as collaboration among students. The students reported that the use of augmented reality helped them to more easily understand exclamations and made the lesson more interesting and fun.
