A Theory of Urban Form

In this 1958 selection the authors examine possible analytical approaches to understanding the varied effects of different physical forms—and the location of human activities in relation to these physical forms. Lynch and Rodwin concentrate in particular on the need for analyzing urban form in relation to goal formulations and suggest techniques for studying the interrelationship.
