ABSTRACT

In this paper, the improved HHT method and response spectrum theory were used to analyze the influence of precise delay blasting on the building structures above a tunnel. The results showed that the response spectrum area was proportional to the vibration intensity of the input signals. The normalized response spectrum area was proportional to the degree of energy concentration. The distribution of the peak vibration intensity and the energy of the input signals in each frequency band are the two main factors affecting the safety of the building structures. Combining the frequency band energy with the response spectrum area, the characteristics of the blast vibrations and the responses of the building structures to external excitations were analyzed from the energy point of view.
