Worked bone (by Ian Riddler and Belinda Burke)

The finds of worked bone consist of three handles and a spindle whorl. The handles complement the collection of iron knives and tools found on the site; indeed WB3 could be associated with a specific blade found in the same context. However WB2 is the only evidence for a scale tang knife on the site. Animal bone identification was by James Rackham ( JR) and Louisa Gidney (LG).
