Are Global Human Rights Conditions Static or Improving?
ByPeter Haschke, Mark Gibney
Pages 13

Human rights conditions around the world remain a high-priority issue for the international community. One of the primary needs in this regard is reliable data that tracks practices. Such data facilitates understanding of patterns and trends within and across countries, as well as the identification of countries, regions and contexts that exhibit different outcomes – improvement, stagnation, or regression in human rights conditions. With those purposes in mind, multiple existing dataset projects are devoted to gauging the extent of citizen security, in the past and on an ongoing basis.
