ABSTRACT

This chapter offers an overview of the UN Global Compact, the Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It identifies the role of business in tackling issues and singles out business management students as playing a key role in driving forward the sustainability agenda in general, and responsible business management practices in particular. The chapter inspires business management students to acknowledge their pivotal role as future business leaders by giving them skills to translate the principles of the PRME and SDGs into practical outputs. It argues that it is each and every person's priority to start in their locality, sharing with their neighbours until we have a global movement. The chapter concludes by offering some proposals on how best to align business management education with the global sustainability and ethical challenges, before providing some suggested seminars aimed at dealing with the principles of PRME in a business school context.
