ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION Quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and accreditation are concepts that seem to touch on a wide range of functions in our society. QC systems and standardization are especially needed in units for assisted reproduction technology (ART) to ensure the reproducibility of all methods and that all members of sta are competent to perform their duties. e necessity of a QC system becomes even clearer when considering the possible risks of ART.
