ABSTRACT

The goal of an evergreen revolution and sustainable agriculture to meet the needs of the present generation without endangering our natural resources is mainly dependent on soil organic matter for nutrient supply through efcient microorganisms. Microorganisms not only contribute to nitrogen xation but also solubilize phosphate, produce growthpromoting substances, and inhibit the growth of plant phytopathogens resulting in better growth and yield of crops. The main advantages of such sustainable agriculture are ecological balance, low cost of cultivation, an increase of the soil microora to maintain good and fertile soil, clean environment, and nutritious food without residues that are harmful to human health (Bhatnagar and Patla 1996).
