ABSTRACT

The student learning a second language often finds himself unable to express his personality in the classroom. The series of exercises, using drama technique, gives back to the student his personality and develops it through his use of English. The lessons are designed to help the language teachers, to use drama as part of their method. Using it, mime, roleplay, and improvisation will be familiar and natural ways of getting students to communicate. The lessons involve the class working individually, in pairs, in groups, and the whole class together, so it is important to create a group feeling from the outset. In these lessons, while teacher’s students are working in pairs or groups simultaneously, teachers have the chance to observe and help with language without getting in the way. Simplify the vocabulary of the exercise according to teacher’s students' standard and use mime to explain physical vocabulary such as: calf muscle, limp, uncross, relax.
