ABSTRACT
In this chapter, the importance of encapsulating volatiles to allow for a longer contact time between a biological system and interesting volatiles will be highlighted. Different encapsulating excipients are described. The newer use of nano-emulsions is described to allow the reader to evaluate the different choices available when investigating new applications of volatiles. The wide range of possible lowering of volatility is pointed out to indicate the formulation potential.
