ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the different metals used in metalpoint drawing. Silver, copper, and gold are most common, but many other metals can be used as well. Information is included on how metals tarnish when they react with other materials. Lastly, the tools metalpoint artists use are discussed, from simple styluses to unique homemade implements, with information on their mark-making capabilities.
