ABSTRACT
The physician/sex therapist/sexuality educator referral relationship has the potential to enhance client sexual health through a holistic approach. This type of business relationship thrives when the participants understand and respect each other’s scope of work. The supervisor who understands the biopsychoeducational model of sexual healthcare can help the therapist build and maintain referral relationships, address legal and ethical concerns, and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with physicians and sexuality educators.
